In the launching of Arminera 2019 international trade fair, organized by CAEM and Messe Frankfurt Argentina, a report on the current situation of the mining industry was submitted. Said report was focused on the local development, employment and contributions to the State. There was also a report on the current programs of the sector regarding transparency and sustainability subjects.

For the First Vice-president of CAEM, Marcelo Álvarez, "the mining activity well developed by the public policy and by the companies' commitment is a true development engine for the countries. From the Chamber, we work day after day to generate these synergies with the State, contribute to the creation of better public policies, professionalize the public-private relationship and build a political and social dialogue that generates a shared view for the development of the industry in a sustainable way".

Besides, Álvarez highlighted the sector’s concern for answering the society's demands in terms of credibility related to the environment care and the development of communities. In this sense, he remarked the advances of "Towards a Sustainable Mining" program, that allows showing, through precise tools, that we act transparently and following the international quality standards. He also highlighted the importance of the recent incorporation of Argentina to EITI, an initiative for transparency of extractive industries.

On the other hand, Roberto Cacciola, Second Vice-president of CAEM said that the way in which the sector grows is driven by new projects, but taking into account that in the case of a metalliferous project it will be necessary to wait from 12 to 15 years for it to start producing, since the time the exploration begins.
